SPECIAL COMMITTEE SEEKS DIALOGUE WITH ADMINISTERING POWERS ON NEED TO SAFEGUARD INTERESTS OF PEOPLE IN COLONIAL TERRITORIES

CORRECTION

On page 10 of Press Release GA/COL/3019 of 21 July, the fifth paragraph should read as follows:

PETER DONIGI (Papua New Guinea), the Chairman of the Special Committee, said he had circulated several documents as an aide- m謯ire. One was a letter to the Special Committee from Carlyle Corbin of the United States Virgin Islands requesting reimbursement of funds for the Territory's representative to the Special Committee for participation in informal consultations of the Committee.

In Press Release GA/COL/3019.Corr.1 of 22 July, the last sentence should read:

A third letter in the aide-m謯ire was from the Governor of the United States Virgin Islands stating that references to the fiscal situation of the United States Virgin Islands were a matter for the Federal Government to consider, not the Special Committee.
