The following statement was issued today by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General is shocked to hear that the convoy of Benazir Bhutto, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, who arrived in Karachi a few hours ago, was attacked by two roadside bombs, reportedly killing more than 100 people and injuring many more.
