SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE CONCERNING DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO DE-LISTS ONE INDIVIDUAL FROM CONSOLIDATED ASSETS FREEZE, TRAVEL BAN LIST

On 24 April 2008, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1533 (2004) concerning the Democratic Republic of the Congo, decided to de-list Mr. Kisoni KAMBALE from the consolidated assets freeze and travel ban list, established pursuant to paragraphs 13 and 15 of resolution 1596 (2005).

The Committee also decided to maintain the assets freeze imposed on the entities associated with Mr. Kisoni Kambale.  Butembo Airlines and Congocom Trading House were separately designated for provision of assistance to illegal armed groups in breach of the arms embargo imposed in resolution 1493 (2003) and 1596 (2005).

The Committee will continue to update the list on a regular basis.
