SECRETARY-GENERAL APPALLED BY TERRORIST ATTACK IN CAIRO

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary- General Boutros Boutros-Ghali:

The Secretary-General is appalled by the terrorist attack in Cairo today, which killed 18 people and injured at least a dozen more. He condemns terrorism in all its forms and urges an end to wanton slaughter as means to achieve political ends.

The Secretary-General expresses his condolences to the families of the victims.
