In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for August:
Security Council
Nana Effah-Apenteng, Permanent Representative of Ghana, succeeds Jean-Marc de La Sabli籥, Permanent Representative of France, as President of the Security Council.
Military Staff Committee
Lieutenant General V. E. Renuart ( United States) succeeds Colonel Jonathan S. Lloyd ( United Kingdom) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
