In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for December:
Security Council
Emyr Jones Parry, Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom, succeeds Andrey I. Denisov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation, as President of the Security Council.
Military Staff Committee
Major General Pascal Vinchon ( France) succeeds Major General Liu Pei ( China) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
