NGO LOSES CONSULTATIVE STATUS WITH ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL CORRECTION

On page 1 of Press Release ECOSOC/5876 issued 26 October, the fifth paragraph should read as follows:

In the Council this morning, the representative of the United States urged a more lenient attitude towards the “transgression” of the NGO. On that issue, the President of the Council noted that a proposal suggesting a three-year suspension had drawn significant support, but consensus had not been achieved.
