GENERAL ASSEMBLY WOULD CONDEMN ARBITRARY EXECUTION OF NINE NIGERIANS, ACCORDING TO THIRD COMMITTEE DRAFT, APPROVED IN RECORDED VOTE

Assembly Would Call on Nigerian Government to Observe Fundamental Freedoms

CORRECTION

In Press Release GA/SHC/3351 of 14 December, the tenth paragraph on page 6 should be corrected to read as follows:

"UGYEN TSHERING (Bhutan), Committee Chairman, said there should be a vote, first on the proposed amendment to the fifth preambular paragraph and then another vote on the proposed amendments to the fourth and sixth preambular paragraphs and to operative paragraph 1."

In addition, the third paragraph on page 7 should be corrected to read as folllows:

"Mr. TSHERING (Bhutan), Committee Chairman, said that the vote was on the amendment to the fifth preambular paragraph proposed by the representative of Gambia."
