M42 Junction 7a (M42 north to M6 south Link Road) The link road from M42 north to M6 south at M42 junction 7a will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 26 June 2006 to Tuesday 27 June 2006, for communications works for Midlands TechMAC Contract. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 9 (Curdworth) The M42 southbound carriageway at junction 9, including junction 9 southbound entry slip road, will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Tuesday 27 June 2006 to Wednesday 28 June 2006, for communications works for Midlands TechMAC Contract. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 7a (M42 north to M6 south Link Road) The link road from M42 north to M6 south at M42 junction 7a will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 28 June 2006 to Thursday 29 June 2006, for communications works for Midlands TechMAC Contract. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 5 (Castle Bromwich) to Junction 6 (Spaghetti Junction) As part of the on-going Major Maintenance contract between junctions 5 and 6, the following traffic management will be in place from 17 June 2006:
There will be 3 lanes running northbound running on the hard shoulder, lane 2 and lane 3, with the hard shoulder being a dedicated lane for M6 J6 northbound off slip. Traffic in lanes 2 and 3 will continue along the main M6 carriageway.
On the southbound carriageway the traffic will be moved on to the hard shoulder, lane 1 and lane 2, with the hard shoulder being a dedicated lane for the A38(M) and A38. The traffic in lanes 1 and 2 will continue along the main M6 carriageway. Overnight Sunday 2 July
* M6 northbound carriageway between J5 and J6 will be closed * The slip roads from M6 northbound to A38(M) and M6 northbound to Salford Circus will be closed * The slip road from Salford Circus to M6 northbound will also be closed * M6 southbound carriageway between J5 and J6 will be closed * The slip roads from the A38(M) to M6 southbound and Salford Circus to M6 southbound will be closed.
M6 Junction 8 (Ray Hall - M6/M5 Interchange) As part of the on-going Major Maintenance contract at junction 8, the following traffic management will be in place from 22 June 2006:
* Advance Works - Starting 22 June 2006 * Overnight lane closures North and South bound carriageways
* Phase 1 - Starting 29 June 2006 * Traffic running on hard shoulder and lane 1 on southbound carriageway. Traffic running in lanes 1 and 2 on northbound carriageway. The southbound on slip at M6 J9 (Bescot) will be closed. The slip road from the M6 southbound to M5 will be reduced to one lane. Overnight closures of the M6 Southbound over Ray Hall Viaduct.
