SPRING SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATES AND SUMMARY SUPPLEMENTARY REQUEST FOR SUPPLY (SSRfS): 2001-02
The SSRfS presented to the House of Commons today summarises the Spring Supplementary Estimates presented to the House of Commons between 19 February and today seeking #6,592 million in resources and #5,367 million in cash. The Supplementary Estimates seek increased resources and cash for existing services and Parliamentary authority, with necessary funding, for certain new services.
- These Estimates do not involve any change in total spending plans because any increases sought have either been offset by savings elsewhere in departmental programmes, charged to the Departmental Expenditure Limits (DEL) Reserve or represent shifts against the Annually Managed Expenditure (AME) Margin. Since the Reserve and the Margin are part of Total Managed Expenditure, the planned total of public expenditure remains unchanged.
Together with other non-voted increases in spending in the Spring round there is a charge to the DEL Reserve of #3,009 million and an increase of #3,888 million in the departmental programmes within AME.
