UK Trade & Investment is inviting IT companies to dip their toes into Indian waters on a mission to find new exporting opportunities in January 2005.
Individual programmes will be drawn up for South East companies from the software and games industry. Businesses that specialise in games for mobile phones, mobile phone content, website portal development or manage database programmes for websites should be particularly interested in this opportunity.
In addition to UK Trade and Investment's travel grant for suitable companies, attendees will have an agreed schedule of appointments with five Indian companies who have already expressed an interest in doing business with UK companies in the subcontinent.
Guy Nelmes, UK Trade and Investment's South East Sector Advisor to the IT industry said: "For most companies India is now synonymous with outsourcing but it is also a massive market for IT expertise. There is a definite gap in the market for consultants, systems integrators, security software specialists, projects managers and specialist programmers and this mission will enable representatives from these businesses to test Indian export waters for themselves."
Any companies interested in joining this trade mission to Indian from 10 - 14 January 2005 should contact Richard Lewis at UK Trade and Investment (0207 215 4823) before Monday 15 November 2004.
