The Queen 7:45 p.m. will attend dinner with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regiment at the Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh 9:20 a.m. Chancellor, will attend the Opening Ceremony of the International Congress on Industrial and applied Mathematics and later attend a Dinner at the University of Edinburgh

The Princess Royal Patron, Leicester Cathedral Millennium Appeal, will visit The Guildhall, Guildhall Lane, Leicester.

The Princess Royal President, Royal Yachting Association, will re-name the lake at Watermead Country Park ''The John Merricks Lake'', Fillingate, Syston, Leicestershire.

The Princess Royal Patron, Leicester Cathedral Millennium Appeal, will visit 21 St. Martin''s, Leicester.

The Princess Royal Patron, Leicester Cathedral Millennium Appeal, will visit the Cathedral at Peacock Lane, Leicester.

The Prince of Wales will attend the 1999 Royal Film Performance of `Star Wars - Episode One The Phantom Menace'', in aid of the Cinema and Television Benevolant Fund, at The Odeon, London.

The Princess Royal 10:45 a.m. willl close the annual conference of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences at the Civil Service College, Sunningdale Park, Larch Avenue, Ascot, Berkshire.

The Princess Royal 1:10 p.m. Chancellor, University of London, will attend a Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Bedford College at Royal Holloway, Egham, Surrey.

The Princess Royal 6:00 p.m. Patron, British Executive Service Overseas, will attend an Annual Volunteer Reunion at Durbar Court, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, King Charles Street, London SW1.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy will attend a Dinner to celebrate the 900th Anniversary of the Order of St. John, at Kensington Palace, London W8.

Friday, 16th July

The Duke of York Patron, will give a Lunch for The Outward Bound Trust at Frogmore House, Windsor, and afterwards will attend the Pensioners'' Tea Party.

The Princess Royal 1:30 p.m. Honorary Air Commodore, will visit RAF Lyneham, Chippenham, Wiltshire.

Saturday, 17th July

The Duke of York will attend the Golf Open Championships at Carnoustie, Angus.

Monday, 19th July

The Princess Royal 5:00 p.m. will attend the Tesco Charity Pro-Am Golf Event at the RAC Club, Epsom, Surrey.

Tuesday, 20th July

The Princess Royal Sponsor, will visit HMS TALENT at sea in the vicinity of Plymouth.

The Duke of Kent Vice-Chairman, will attend a British Trade International meeting and their Annual Dinner, Victoria Street, London SW1.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy will visit the British Home and Hospital for Incurables, Crown Lane, London SW16.

The Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh 2:40 p.m. will visit Myerscough College, Bilsborrow, Preston, Lancaster.

The Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh will attend the evening performance of the Royal Tournament at Earls Court, London.

Tuesday, 27th July

The Duke of Edinburgh Admiral of the Fleet, will attend the 1939 Jubilee Reunion at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon

The Duke of Edinburgh 10:10 a.m. will open an extension to Treloweth School at Higher Broadlane, Redruth, visit Goodygrane Activities Centre, Longdowns, Penryn and visit the site of the new National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, followed by lunch at Pendennis Shipyard, Falmouth, Cornwall

Wednesday, 28th July

The Duke of Edinburgh Admiral of the Fleet, will take the salute at The Lord High Admiral''s Divisions at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon

Thursday, 29th July

The Queen 6:00 p.m. Patron, will visit the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, 12 Great George Street, Parliament Square, London SW1, on the occasion of the centenary of the headquarters of the building and the centenary of the Institution''s associated charity.

Friday, 30th July

The Prince of Wales will visit HMS RALEIGH, Torpoint, Cornwall, and will Take the Salute at the Passing Out Parade.

The Duke of York Patron, will take the Salute at the Royal Tournament, London SW5.

AUGUST

Monday, 2nd August

The Duke of York will visit Inverness, Ullapool Golf Club, and Ross and Cromarty.

The Princess Royal Patron, will take the salute at The Royal Tournament at Earls Court Exhibition Centre, Warwick Road, London SW5.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy will take the Salute as the Cutty Sark Tall Ships depart from Greenock.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy will open the new renal dialysis unit and education suite at Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Greenock, Renfrewshire.

Tuesday, 17th August

The Princess Royal 6:30 p.m. Colonel in Chief, The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) will take the Salute at The Edinburgh Military Tattoo, The Castle, Edinburgh.

SEPTEMBER

Wednesday, 22nd September

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy will attend a Concert in aid of the Charing Cross Holiday Dialysis Trust at the Royal College of Music, Prince Consort Road, London SW7.

NOVEMBER

Tuesday, 9th November

> The Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh will visit South Africa between 9th and 15th November 1999, carrying out a State Visit on 9th - 11th November, and opening the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Durban on Friday 12th November. Her Majesty and His Royal Highness will attend other events during the Meeting. The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, will also pay State Visits to Ghana (7th-9th November) and Mozambique (15th November).

BUCKINGHAM PALACE

State Rooms

Opening times: The State Rooms will be open from 6th August - 3rd October, 1999. Open daily from 9.30 a.m., last entry into the Palace is at 4.30 p.m.

Tickets can be obtained by telephoning the credit card line on 0171 321 2233, or in person from the Ticket Office in Green Park which is open from 31st July (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

Admission Charges: credit card bookings - all tickets #10 (plus 50p booking fee per application). For those buying tickets in person from the Ticket Office: Adults: #10.00, over 60s #7.50 and those under 17, #5.00.

The Queen''s Gallery

The King''s Head - Charles 1: King and Martyr Exhibition, will be open from 30th January to 3rd May, 1999. (Gallery will be closed 2nd April).

Raphael and his Circle: Drawings from Windsor Castle, will be open from 21st May to 10th October, 1999.

Open 9.30 a.m. - last admission 4.00 p.m.

Price of Admission: Adults: #4.00; Senior Citizens: #3.00; Under 17s: #2.00 Family ticket: #10.00

Closures: The Queen''s Gallery will be closing in Autumn, 1999 for major remodelling and extension and will reopen in 2002.

The Royal Mews

6th October 1998 - 29th July 1999 open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 12 noon to 4.00 p.m. (last entry 3.30 p.m.).

Guided Tours

These will commence again in May, 1999. Further information is available by telephoning the Visitor Office (01753 868286 x 2615).

(Entrance to Frogmore House is via sign posted car park on B3021 between Datchet and Old Windsor. Pedestrian access via the Long Walk.)

SANDRINGHAM HOUSE

House: 1 April until 20 July 11:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily. Re-opens 5 August until 3 October.

Museum: 1 April until 24 July 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Re-opens 5 August until 3 October.

Grounds: as Museum, 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm daily. Dogs, except guide dogs, are not permitted in the Grounds

The Museum and Grounds are open at weekends and from Tuesday to Thursday of half-term week in October from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00p.m.
