Overnight resurfacing work to improve the grip along sections of the A27 between Alciston and Selmeston, West Sussex will begin on Monday, 4 September and finish on Friday, 8 September.
The new surface will increase the grip on corners along a half mile stretch of the A27. Work will take place overnight between 7.30pm and 5.00am, when traffic flows are low. For the benefit of local residents, all noisy works will stop after 11pm.
To carry out the work safely, a section of the A27 between Selmeston and Alciston Corner will be closed overnight. Advanced warning signs will be in place to advise drivers of the planned diversion. Traffic will be diverted around the A26 and on to the A22 and will leave the A27 at Southerham Roundabout and rejoin the A27 at Polegate.
