How is PEGASE similar to the TIM?
    Both are important instruments for providing essential social services to the Palestinian population. Both are collaborative and coordinated European operations which are open to other international donors. Both are fully transparent with widespread reporting and communication activities. Both have extensive and robust control, verification and audit procedures covering all transactions and payments. Both can ensure the delivery of essential financial assistance and support into Gaza. Both can deliver assistance even under the most difficult political and security conditions.
How is PEGASE different to the TIM?

    PEGASE operates in a context where there is momentum in the political dialogue between the parties and negotiations to find a peaceful solution to the current conflict. PEGASE has wider objectives, in particular to support Palestinian economic recovery and to help build institutions for a future state. PEGASE is a long-term development instrument with a 3-year time horizon, not a 3-month one, with a greater predictability of funds for the Palestinian Authority. PEGASE will work in full coordination and partnership with the Palestinian Authority in support of the Palestinian Reform and Development Plan (PRDP) presented at the Paris Donor Conference. PEGASE covers a wider range of activities and projects including technical assistance, institutional support and infrastructure, as well as social financial assistance and development projects.
