Chocolate or Vanilla? Massimo D'Alema savours taste of things to come in a world without borders CoR conference, 1 February
Massimo D'Alema, former prime minister of Italy, and Mercedes Bresso, President of Piemonte and member of the Committee of the Regions, are among a distinguished panel of speakers who will take part in a debate at the CoR on 1 February on the opportunities created by globalisation and the knowledge economy.
The one-day conference, entitled ‘Chocolate or Vanilla? Building the creative economy in a flat world’, will focus on how Europe, Italy and the regions can harness the potential of a world without borders to encourage the creation of new companies, sectors and products through innovation, excellence and vision.
Other speakers at the event, organized by Puntoit, Fondazione Italiani Europei and the European-American Business Council, include Fabio Colasanti, European Commission Director-General for Information Society and Media, MEPs Pierluigi Bersani and Enrico Letta, as well as representatives of Skype, Time Warner, Walt Disney, the BBC, Verizon, BT and the Motion Picture Association.
